Hi Parents,
It's that time of year again! Fall pictures will take place at the YMCA next week. I wanted to provide you with some information so that everyone is kept in the loop. The schedule is as follows:
Monday 10/7: All Pre-K classes , Monday toddlers, Monday Kids Kamp
Tuesday 10/8: All 3 yr old classes, Tuesday toddlers and Tuesday Kids Kamp
Wednesday: 10/9 : Wednesday Kids Kamp
Friday 10/11: Friday toddlers
Photos will be taken outside during your child's regular class time. You are certainly not obligated to order photos, but if you are unsure I urge you to check out a short sample of photos we have done in previous years: http://bit.ly/152Dlqn
Picture package envelopes will go home this week. See your child's teacher if yours is missing. Please send the envelope with selections and payment included along with your child on picture day. If you wish to have a younger sibling photographed as well, please feel free to bring them along. I only request that you fill out an additional envelope for that child in order to avoid confusion.
Picture Day
We will begin promptly at the beginning of class (after all the kids arrive and settle in), taking the photos outside near the playground. We begin with a class picture together and then photograph the children one by one. Remember, we will be outside so please dress your child appropriately for the weather on that day. Please talk about picture day with your child on the day of, it will help them warm up! If you feel that your little one may get a bit "camera shy" then you may decide to stay with them until pictures are through. If this is the case please do let me know and we will take those photos first so that you may be on your way. This is all in the interest of getting the best possible picture for you - I insist!
What comes next
I select the best shot of each child and then print your photo package as per your instructions. Remember- every package purchased gets a group shot included this year! Your prints are made right here in St Louis at one of the best and most trusted professional photography labs in the area. Bearing no unforeseen circumstance, I'll have your prints back to you within two weeks. Reordering will be an option to you at that time.
About John
I'm a Dad of 3 girls, and our family has lived here in Edwardsville since 2006.
I've been a YMCA Dad ever since, and this will be the 4th consecutive year that I have done class photos for the Y preschool. My wife, Debbie, will be assisting me on picture days. We have operated a photography business here in the Ed/Glen area since 2009 and I have worked with everyone from newborn babies to blushing brides. I started doing this because I was fed up with "assembly-line" big name company mass-produced portraits! 'Nuff said!
Thank you for providing me with this opportunity, and feel free to get in touch.
